SCAT is a USA Swimming year-round competitive swim team with pools in Peachtree City. USA Swimming is the national governing body for amateur swimming in the United States. SCAT is a non-profit organization led by the head coach, supervising the management and operation of the team.  SCAT is a coach run and staff driven team that competes in local, regional and national level competitions. Our team philosophy is to bring all team members together in one effort and purpose to achieve a consistent environment and stable program so that each athlete can reach their potential.

Southern Crescent Aquatic Team is very proud of its swimmers' accomplishments since its inception in 1991. Our team has grown steadily every year and has developed a program designed to keep growing in leaps and bounds. We have a summer recreational program to "meet the demand" in our area as well as develop a growth pattern for our team in the future.

We have moved from an original start of qualifying swimmers for "B+" meets to qualifying swimmers to the State, Sectional, and National Championships. We have swimmers who have achieved National Age Group times, National ranking as well as several State Champions in age group competition at the Georgia State level in both short course and long course swimming.

SCAT was founded by a group of several parents who wanted to see a year-round program become a reality in our area. Through cooperation and teamwork, they organized and worked with Fulton County Parks and Recreation to build the team into a successful program. This is indicated very strongly by our rapid growth and achievements. Now as our 2005-2006 swimming season begins, we look forward to continued success as we make our mark locally, regionally and nationally.
